The lightest, brightest Trident – ever
The lightest, brightest Trident – ever
When you’re 300 metres underwater, luminosity matters. So when Christopher Ward’s design and engineering teams embarked on the project to create the brightest ever Trident, they began with an extraordinary material, Globolight XP©.
On the C60 Trident Lumière, the chamfered indexes are made entirely from Globolight XP©, as is the unmistakable ‘twin flags’ logo and most of the handset. In all, 17 specially-shaped blocks of Globolight XP© are used on the dial which contains five times the lume of any previous Trident (and which cost four times more to produce than a ‘regular’ dial). And because the dial comes in three extraordinary colour options – and whose ‘stippled grain’ surface adds extra texture – there’ll be a shade that’s right for you.
The ‘light’ theme continues with the metal used in the watch’s construction: Grade 2 titanium. The 41mm Light-catcher™ case is crafted from titanium – which has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal – and has been designed to sit flat on the wrist. As well as delivering water-resistance to 300m, the case contains a helium release valve that will protect your watch on ascents.
Thanks to the thin profile of the movement, the case is just 10.85mm in height – making it our slimmest ever dive watch. Or, as one member of the CW team says, “It’s so light and so thin it feels part of your arm.” Meanwhile the titanium bracelet has an increased taper down to 16mm (from 22mm) and boasts an improved micro-adjustment mechanism so you can change its fit on the go.
Lumière is powered by a chronometer-certified version of the Sellita SW300-1 automatic calibre, whose decorated rotor you’ll be able to see through the exhibition case back. Not only is the movement ultra-accurate, but it also gives you a 56-hour power reserve.
The sum of this innovation, experimentation and ambition isn’t just the most beautiful dive watch Christopher Ward has ever made, but the perfect balance between form and function.

Sellita SW300-1 COSC Automatic
Launched in 2008, Sellita’s 25-jewel SW300-1 automatic movement is one of the most respected calibres in Swiss watchmaking. At 25.6mm in diameter and with a height of 3.6 mm (one millimetre less than the SW200-1), it has a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and boasts a power reserve of 56 hours. Seen as an alternative to ETA’s 2892-A2 calibre, the SW300-1 can be customised with various complications, including date, monophase, and GMT functions.
This chronometer version has been tested by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres, in a number of positions and temperatures to ensure precision timekeeping.
Lume first, second – and last
The sculpted indexes, handset and ‘twin flags’ logo are all sculpted from blocks of Globolight XP© – a luminous ceramic created by Xenoprint, makers of Super-LumiNova® luminous paint. This means the luminosity of the Lumière is twice as bright as other Tridents.
The metal with more mettle
The C60 Trident Lumière is constructed in Grade 2 titanium, which has the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any metal, which is why the watch head weighs only 53g. Yet thanks to titanium’s durability, Lumière is able to cope with the most challenging conditions – on land or at sea.
The super-slim sculpted case
The 41mm brushed-and-polished Light-catcher™ case doesn’t just provide 300 metres of water-resistance, but is also our slimmest case ever with a height of 10.85mm. It’s been designed to sit flat and snug on the wrist, so you may forget you’re wearing it.
Accuracy: that’s Lumière
Ultra-precise timekeeping is provided by a COSC-certified version of Sellita’s SW300-1 movement, which also gives you a power reserve of 56 hours. The movement’s height of just 3.6mm is what makes Lumière’s slim silhouette possible.
The best bracelet yet
Nothing demonstrates Lumière’s ambition better than its bracelet. Crafted in Grade 2 titanium, some facets are polished, others not, and the edges are beautifully chamfered. It boasts a taper to 16mm, and has a micro-adjustment mechanism – with a button marked ‘push’ – that lets you adjust the size by 6mm.
Release the pressure
The helium release valve – integrated into the 41mm case – is activated during deep dives when the differential between the inside and outside pressure reaches a critical point, preventing the watch from cracking at depth.
In search of light
Crafted from Grade 2 titanium and featuring an advanced luminous ceramic, the C60 Trident Lumière is the luxury diving watch that shines brighter.
