The glory, glory watch
The glory, glory watch
When former Spurs captain Danny Blanchflower said that “the game is about glory” – he was right. And football doesn’t get much more glorious than being European winners.
So when we were approached about creating a watch to celebrate that night in Bilbao we knew that it had to be something the great man would approve of.
Introducing The Bilbao, a Swiss-made chronograph (limited to 2025 pieces) that captures the culture, colours and history of Tottenham Hotspur – while delivering the precision timing you’d expect from Christopher Ward.
On the dial, the golden seconds hand carries a counterweight in the form of the club’s iconic cockerel, while ‘THFC’ monogram is engraved on the inner ring. At the 42-second mark, a golden detail commemorates Brennan Johnson’s winner in Bilbao (just in case you needed a reminder).
Turn the watch over, and you’ll see the backplate is sculpted into the unmistakable pattern of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’s exterior. Across it runs the legend ‘European winners’.
The dial, matched exactly to Spurs’ home colours, features a range of timing/stopwatch functions. These are shown on the subdials, which feature hands that mirror those found on the famous White Hart Lane clock. And because the greatest teams are defined by their flexibility, The Bilbao comes with our sleek Bader metal bracelet, and a rubber strap in blue with white piping.
Timekeeping comes from a thermo-compensated quartz chronograph movement, accurate to within +/-10 seconds per year – so wherever you follow Spurs, you’ll always be on time.
A watch worthy of Danny’s wise words.
ETA G10.202 AD COSC
ETA G10.202 AD COSC
Renowned for its accuracy, ETA’s Calibre G10.202 AD is a quartz chronograph movement that displays hours, minutes and seconds. Chronograph functionality is controlled by two pushers, while subdials display 1/10th of seconds, 60 seconds, and 30 minutes. It also has ‘add’ and ‘split’ functions. Accurate to +/- 10 seconds, the movement has a diameter of 29.80mm and is 5.12mm high.
The emblem is all
The cockerel has been associated with Spurs since 1909 (and on shirts since 1921), which is why the counter-balance of the golden seconds hand is shaped in the image of the club’s iconic emblem.
Back beauty
The case back features the unmistakable pattern of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium’s spectacular exterior with the words ‘European winners’ fixed on top, sat below the club’s famous Cockerel motif.
Super sub(dials)
The Bilbao’s subdials boast hands shaped like those of the famous White Hart Lane clock, and to increase lustre, the subdials feature a shimmering ‘sunray’ finish. Another detail: note how ‘25’ on the seconds subdial is gold to mark the year of the Europa League victory.
True colours
The watch’s colourway of white and dark blue are matched exactly to those of Tottenham Hotspur. See how the colours contrast perfectly on the inner ring of the dial and the edges of the subdials.
