The search for the perfect chronograph.
Every serious watch collection has a great chronograph at its heart.
Few complications engage the wearer quite like this one: not just beautiful and clever, but, thanks to its stopwatch function, useful too. The C63 Sealander Chronograph is born from our love of the great chronographs of the past – watches that played starring roles in films from The Wolf of Wall Street to Kill Bill, and which graced the wrists of icons like Steve McQueen and Paul Newman.
With that pedigree, it’s no surprise the Sealander Chronograph has the classic three-subdial layout at 3, 6 and 9, powered by Sellita’s SW510, a robust automatic chronograph movement with up to 62 hours of power reserve. And which sits in the 41mm Light-catcher™ case, which, at 13.9mm high, is our slimmest yet.
From the polished rhodium rings around the counters to the tapered, integrated pushers, the sandblasted ceramic bezel to the sleek Bader bracelet, it shows the attention to detail expected of the Sealander series. Even the colours are special: five options, from classic Black, and White to Pistachio, Sky Blue and Pink.
It’s built to be worn, too. Pair it with our iLink™ Bader bracelet, complete with quick-release and a newly slimmed clasp, or reach for one of four durable rubber straps when the mood, or the motorsport, calls for it.
Beneath the closed case back sits a newly designed rotor: proof that the care runs as deep as the movement, not only across the dial. Watches are about storytelling, and chronographs have always had the best tales. With the C63 Sealander Chronograph, Christopher Ward’s first mechanical chrono in years, we’re writing a new one.
Sellita SW510
Sellita SW510
Great chronograph movements are robust and reliable, which is why the Sealander Chronograph is powered by Sellita's SW510, a 28,800vph cam-operated automatic with at least 56 hours of power reserve (and, more typically, an impressive 62). It has the elegant and preferred 3-6-9 sub-dial layout, with small seconds at 9 o'clock, the 30-minute counter at 3, and 12 hours at 6. Job done.
Slim, fixed, sandblasted ceramic bezel with a tachymeter scale.
The case is 13.9mm – 1.1mm less than on previous chronographs.
Three sub-dials, perfectly symmetrical: running seconds at 9, chronograph minutes at 3, hours at 6.
Go classic with 'panda' black-on-white or black-on-black, or add colour: pink, pistachio and sky blue.
The new iLink™ tool-less adjustment system.
The pushers – one at 2, the other at 4, control all the stopwatch functions.
