Gold standard
Gold standard
When you bring gold to an icon like The Twelve, you can’t afford to take chances.
First, it has to be the correct type of gold. On the bezel of The Twelve Halo, we use 18-carat (5N) rose gold: pure enough to feel luxurious but more durable than 24-carat gold.
Then there’s its treatment. On The Twelve Halo, the 12-sided, multi-angled bezel has been fully polished – something that not only provides a contrast to the brushed surfaces of the dial and case but whose treatment and shape is the inspiration for the watch’s name. The rest of the piece is equally saintly.
Take the extraordinary dial. Available in brushed silver (rhodium) or black, every element, like the indexes, counters and date window, has been dispensed with, leaving you with a dial that hosts nothing but the lumed handset, applied logo, and the words ‘Automatic’ and ‘Swiss Made’ printed onto the surface.
At 36mm, the case is a nod to the watches of the 1970s, and its size means that it’ll suit both male and female wrists. As with other watches in The Twelve series, the case has been finished by being brushed, polished and sandblasted. Turn it over and a sapphire crystal, seated in the 12-sided case back, displays the Elaboraé-grade Sellita SW200-1 movement.
The final piece in the jigsaw is the unique Twelve bracelet, whose highly finished, single-link design features a pleasing taper and a hidden butterfly clasp for easy removal. If you want to change your watch’s character, the C12 Halo is also available on The Twelve rubber strap. Both are fitted with CW’s quick-release system to make swapping effortless.
A watch this beautiful has no right to be durable, yet The Twelve Halo is built to withstand knocks and is waterproof to 100m.
Sellita SW200-1 Automatic
Sellita SW200-1 Automatic
An update on the classic Sellita SW200, this Swiss-made self-winding movement is known for its accuracy and reliability.
The 26-jewel movement boasts a date wheel, a 4Hz frequency (equating to a smooth eight ticks per second) and a 38-hour power reserve. It also has an in-built anti-shock system to maintain accuracy when faced with any sudden jolts.
Brace with impact
The Twelve’s bracelet is built from single links to deliver a taper that goes from 22mm to 17mm, while the satinised finish comes courtesy of a water-grinding process. The bracelet closes with a butterfly clasp – fitted with a micro-adjustment mechanism. This allows the wearer to adjust the length by up to 1.5mm per side – and 3mm in total.
This isn’t a men’s watch or a women’s watch – it’s just a watch
Nothing comes close to gold
The solid 18-carat rose-gold bezel gives the watch its name. Every angle has been fully polished, playing the light with every movement, and providing a glistening contrast to the dial.
See more movement
There are few greater thrills in horology than the sight of mechanical movement at work. Here, the sapphire caseback lets you enjoy the decorated rotor of the Sellita SW200-1 movement at your leisure.
A dial that says everything
Available in black or silver (rhodium), the dial has been heavily brushed for a chic, textured look, while the removal of indexes, date window and seconds hand recalls luxury timepieces of the 1970s.
Exquisite detailing
The applied ‘twin-flags’ logo has been finished with rose gold. While the minute and hour hands are linear-brushed and filled with Super-LumiNova® C1 BL Grade X1 for after-dark visibility.
