    We use DPD in the UK as we believe they offer the best service available by providing:

    We use Royal Mail for areas where DPD do not service or do not have extensive coverage.

    • ‘Deliver to Neighbour’ option
    • We use either Royal Mail or DHL to deliver to areas not yet covered by DPD.

International provider: DHL

    For all international orders we use DHL for standard and express, the price for worldwide express delivery is different depending on what currency you are using to pay for the service.

Delivery times

    All delivery times are outlined above and are after-despatch. We despatch within two working days of your order unless the package has been held for a particular reason, eg: engraving or interest-free credit. If you’ve paid for next-day or worldwide express delivery, your order will be despatched the same day.

    * If your address is in a remote part of the United Kingdom – i.e. Highlands and Islands, then please add an extra day to the delivery times quoted.

Customs and duties

    Shipping into the EU

    From January 1st, 2021 the United Kingdom (UK) is no longer part of the European Union (EU). However, as a Christopher Ward customer there will be no impact on the price you pay or the customer service you experience.

    As we operate a standardised euro pricing structure, any variation in VAT applicable between member states is allowed for within the price you pay. Christopher Ward is responsible for paying the VAT collected at point of purchase to the appropriate local EU authority.

    As part of the trade deal, no duties are payable when items of our classification are shipped to an EU member state.

    To ensure you’re not requested to pay either the VAT or any additional fees, we apply the terms of trade as duty paid (DDP) on your shipment, which puts the onus on us (Christopher Ward) when shipping to any EU member state.

    We have seen an increased level of queries raised by customers as a result of Customs / DHL communications due to uncertainty around Brexit. It’s important to note that you, the customer, should not be requested for any information surrounding:

    Shipping into the ROW inc. the United States of America:

    All orders shipped to non-EU territories are subject to cross-border inspection, and where they have breached individual country import thresholds, are subject to custom charges. Please note Christopher Ward is not able to tell you what this threshold is. Typically for orders into the United States the order value is $800 or more. However, this is only a benchmark and subject to change.

    Every order is shipped with the status of Delivered at Port (DAP). This puts the onus of paying for taxes and duties on the customer. By doing this the product can be released into your ownership.

    With recent changes to local laws, custom officials may request your Social Security Number or Tax ID. Where this is required DHL will reach out directly to you. Unfortunately, we are not able to prevent this request.

    We can’t refund any customs duties you might incur from your own country if you return your watch for a refund.

    Note: If you are in Germany and are returning a watch valued over £1,000, you will have to apply for an MRN from local customs – which costs £35. Unfortunately this is outside our control.

    Repairing and/or servicing a watch does not incur customs charges.


    For your peace of mind, all our products are fully insured by us and shipped on a signed for basis to confirm receipt.

Where’s my order and how do I track it?

    When we despatch your order you will receive a shipping notification email with a courier tracking code which allows you to follow your delivery.

    If it’s been several working days since your order confirmation, or you haven’t received one for an order you placed, please contact our customer support team or check your order history in your customer account where the status will be shown. If you are not a registered customer, don’t worry, click here to see your order status

    Please note that for some countries the extent of tracking is reduced. This is down to the local providers in specific countries.

Will you under-report the value of my international package?

    No. By law, we are required to state the correct selling price of the item purchased. If we under-declare this value, and if picked up by customs, both the sender and the recipient will be liable for fines.

BFPO (British Forces Post Office) shipping information

    We are able to ship to our customers serving in the British Forces and living at a BFPO address – ensure you have the correct BFPO number and/or the appropriate postcode, where necessary.
    Although initially shipped via a Royal Mail service, please note that we are unable to provide any kind of tracking information for orders to BFPO addresses.

    Customers shipping to BFPO addresses are also entitled to have the VAT removed from their order.

    If ordering over the phone with our customer support team, we can remove any VAT immediately.
    If you have placed an order online, please get in touch with customer support, where we can have the VAT refunded back to you.

Returning a watch

    You can return your watch free of charge up to 60 days after despatch for a replacement or refund within the terms and conditions of our 60|60 Guarantee. Funds will be refunded to your original payment method within approximately seven working days from when we acknowledge receipt of your return.
