Lord of the winds
In the epic works of Virgil and Homer, Aeolus was entrusted by Zeus as the keeper of the winds. From his name comes Aeolian harps, played by the breeze; the Aeolian Islands near Sicily; and Aeolian landforms, sculpted by the movement of air through rock, snow, ice, or sand. It’s these natural forces that shape the great dunes and the flowing, asymmetrical wave patterns etched into their sides – the very inspiration behind the unique rippled dials of the Aeolian Collection.
