Named after the North Atlantic's most treacherous coastline, the new C60 Trident Biscay GMT takes a bearing on trouble and doesn't flinch.
Available in both 39mm and 42mm, the GMT builds on the design of the automatic Biscay, introducing a dedicated fourth hand for tracking an additional time zone, alongside a bidirectional aluminium bezel in a two-tone colour combination, to mark day from night. And thanks to its redesigned Light-catcher™ case, it adds 200m water resistance for good measure.
As with every Biscay, the new bezel is surface-hardened. It reaches 250HV on the micro-Vickers hardness scale, the industry-standard measure of how well a metal resists surface wear, making it 67 percent harder than untreated aluminium and helping to preserve the crisp finish over time. A more defined tooth profile gives the bi-directional bezel a better grip in-hand, so each of its 120 clicks feels precise and satisfying to turn.
The balanced dial layout replaces the 6 o'clock Arabic numeral with a date aperture, maintaining harmony while adding practicality. The numerals are complemented by brushed and polished baton indexes and diamond-cut hands, all filled with a custom-made Super-LumiNova® Grade X1 BL for a retro 'radium' look.
"With the Trident Pro 300 GMT bezel, only the large triangle at 12 is made of luminous material," says CW product director Jörg Bader. "But with Biscay's bezel we've used it everywhere: on the numbers, the dots, the lot. Short of a Lumière, nothing out-glows Biscay."
Inside, sits the COSC-certified Sellita SW330-2 automatic movement, delivering up to 56 hours of power reserve alongside dependable 'caller' GMT functionality. Turn the watch over, and the exhibition case back provides a view into the Sellita movement, and its Colimaçoné finishing and new rotor. The watch is available on Hybrid and Cordura straps, or a Bader or Consort bracelet, both featuring Christopher Ward's new iLink™ tool-free resizing system.
Fair warning: once you've seen what Biscay's capable of, everything else feels like calm before the storm.

The Sellita SW330-2 is a Swiss-made automatic GMT calibre based on the architecture of the SW300 family. Measuring 25.6mm in diameter and 4.1mm in height, it operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz) and incorporates 25 jewels. The movement features central hours, minutes, seconds, a date display – and an independently adjustable 24-hour GMT hand for tracking a second time zone. Automatic winding is delivered via a bidirectional rotor system, while the improved mainspring provides a power reserve of around 56 hours.
