A small watch for a big world
A small watch for a big world
The trend for smaller watches is here to stay. That’s why choosing to produce our first 36mm GMT wasn’t difficult. And neither was selecting the model to base it on.
The C63 Sealander GMT 36 is a watch with the flexibility, sophistication and usability of the original 39mm model but, thanks to its smaller case, has a wearability you’ll grow to love. (And remember, until comparatively recently, 34mm was considered the norm for watches).
The classic Sealander aesthetic is at the core of the dial – though tailored to the smaller size case. Available in Black, White, and Dragonfly Blue (with a bewitching sunray finish), it’s both easy to read and fascinating to look at – especially with the added depth of the applied logo.
The watch’s top brushed indexes and handset are coated with Super-LumiNova® Grade X1 BL C1. At the same time, the fourth ‘GMT’ hand is painted bright orange for increased visibility – something that offers vital information when exploring the planet’s darker recesses. And because this is a watch made for land or sea, water-resistance is guaranteed to 150m.
Powering the watch is the Sellita SW330-2, a tried-and-tested GMT movement that allows you to set the fourth hand separately to the time zone of your choice. As well as being accurate, it has a minimum power reserve of 56 hours, so you can take the watch off for a couple of days (unlikely, we know), and it’ll still be ticking away.
Finally, if you want to change up your timepiece, swapping a Bader or Consort bracelet for a strap is super-easy, thanks to our pioneering quick-release system. It’s like getting a second watch for free.
Sellita SW330-2 GMT
Sellita SW330-2 GMT
The new Sellita SW330-2 is an alternative to the ETA 2893, and a movement that provides both superb accuracy and GMT timing.
Just 4.1mm thick, the SW330-2 has 25 jewels and beats at a rate of 28,800 per hour with a power reserve of up to 56 hours. The central GMT hand can be set independently from the hour and seconds hands.
The perfect dial
Reduced in size, but not in impact, the classic Sealander dial provides legibility and balance, while proportionality is accentuated by the date window at 6 o’clock and applied logo at 12.
A bezel to rely on
The fixed outer bezel is made from anti-corrosive 316L stainless steel. Use its numerals with the fourth hand to monitor a second time zone or, if underground, to check whether it’s day or night.
Watchmaking up close
When you turn the C63 Sealander GMT 36 over, the see-through caseback gives you an intimate view of the Sellita SW330-2 inside. A GMT movement that provides a power reserve of 56 hours.
A case your wrist will love
The ergonomically shaped 36mm Light-catcher™ case – made from marine-grade stainless steel – has been designed to fit snugly on every size of wrist.
Lume it up
When night falls, your watch’s lume gives you timekeeping after dark. We use a generous amount of Super-LumiNova® Grade X1 BL C1 on the handset and top brushed indexes to ensure nocturnal visibility.
