Purchase with crypto using BitPay

What’s happening?
Christopher Ward has partnered with BitPay to enable customers to purchase using crypto as a payment method.

What’s BitPay?
BitPay partners with the most popular wallets, including Coinbase, Exodus and more to allow customers to pay using currencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dogecoin (DODGE) and Etherium (ETH). Plus many more.

How does it work with Christopher Ward?
Christopher Ward uses email billing in place of a direct checkout: you’ll be emailed an invoice form which you’ll complete for your transaction.

This can take up to 48 hours to be sent, depending if the order was placed on the weekend. Please note: your order will be held for up to 72 hours after the invoice is sent. If the period has lapsed and payment hasn’t been confirmed, your order will be cancelled, and the stock returned to the website.

Can I use BitPay with all CW watches?
No. It’s only applicable with certain products. This will be made clear on the specific product page, as well as in checkout, where you will see the BitPay acceptance mark. Thanks to our partnership with BitPay, we can accept leading cryptocurrencies across most major wallets eg: Coinbase and Exodus.

What do I have to do to use BitPay?
BitPay requires all users to create a BitPay ID to fulfil the regulatory requirements associated with purchasing via cryptocurrency. This process is a one-off and will allow you to continue to use your BitPay account. You’ll find further information when you receive your BitPay invoice once you’ve placed your order.

How do I pay using my BitPay Wallet?
Add the product(s) to your basket and head to checkout. Once you reach the payment section, you will see BitPay as a method that can be used. Select this using the ‘radio’ button.

After clicking the ‘Pay with BitPay’ icon, you’ll be sent an order confirmation which triggers our internal team to send you a BitPay order invoice where you can pay for your chosen product.

Does Christopher Ward hold crypto?
No. Through our partnership with BitPay, the monies are settled in a chosen FX.

How does the refund process work?
Using this payment method does not impact your 60:60 guarantee. Once you request your refund, we’ll issue it through our BitPay admin portal. The FX we received when you placed your order will be transferred back into the cryptocurrency used when placing the order. The FX rate used at this point is based on a 15-minute spot managed by BitPay.

Please note: This payment method can only be used in conjunction with certain products. This will be made clear on the product description (PDP), as well as in checkout where you will see the BitPay acceptance mark – as shown below:
