If the C1 Moonphase is the minimalist’s luxury lunar watch – then the renewed and refreshed C1 Moonglow delivers maximum impact, day or night. A timepiece that isn’t just connected to the movements of our neighbouring satellite, but which celebrates it through every element.
Nothing demonstrates this better than the oversized twin moons that – thanks to the power of the JJ04 modified movement – rotate around the sapphire dial, following the movements of the real moon accurately for 128 years.
Positioned opposite from one another, each moon has been coated with more Grade X1 WL C1 Super-LumiNova® for an improved ‘moonglow’. The phase of the moon is read through an aperture at 12 o’clock, while the other moon remains clouded through smoked glass.
The innovation doesn’t stop there. Instead of a conventional date window, a rotating ring has been coated with Grade X1 WL C1 Super-LumiNova®, which aligns with the current date on a lumed outer-date ring. This enables you to read the date in even the darkest of conditions.
The 40.5mm Light-catcher™ case has been redesigned so it’s even more elegant and comfortable than on the first Moonglow. While the addition of a new glass box crystal increases clarity and delivers a mid-century aesthetic.
Finally, as befitting a watch that mixes beauty with utility, the C1 Moonglow is now available on Consort™, our most comfortable bracelet ever, and whose five-link construction helps it follow the contours of your wrist.

Unlike some moonphase complications that transition once per day, JJ04 offers a more dynamic approach. Using the Sellita SW220 as a base, the date wheel, along with its spring-loading assembly, have been stripped out and replaced by four further wheels to drive the moon disc, with two more required for the setting mechanism.
JJ04: perpetually brilliant
The C1 Moonglow is powered by CW’s own modular movement, JJ04, which is able to follow the waxing (and waning) of the moon accurately for 128 years. This also allows the watch’s ‘moons’ to chart a continuous, uninterrupted journey across the dial.
3D heaven
The watch’s three-dimensional moons have increased amounts Grade X1 WL C1 Super-LumiNova® for an even better ‘moonglow’. While the precisely proportioned dial delivers more depth than found on the aventurine face of the C1 Moonphase.
Perfect case
The C1 Moonglow boasts a redesigned 40.5mm Light-catcher™ case, which makes it even more comfortable on the wrist, while the domed glass box crystal and polished facets on the lugs add a feeling of timeless luxury.
Lord of the rings
Replacing a conventional date window, a rotating ring – coated with Grade X1 WL C1 Super-LumiNova® – circles the dial and aligns with the current date on the outer-date ring.
