Preserving the oceans, and looking good doing it
Preserving the oceans, and looking good doing it
The C63 SH21 Blue Marine is our second watch created to support Blue Marine Foundation, following the success of the C60 BLUE, which generated £250,000 for the charity. But the relationship is an ongoing one, with money from the sale of each C65 Aquitaine and #tide strap also heading their way.
We’ve been a supporter since 2019, using our ability to create extraordinary watches that thrive in the most extreme environments to generate money to protect them too. We’ll donate five percent from the sale of each of these unique watches to Blue Marine.
This is the first C63 to be powered by our in-house movement, Calibre SH21, thus representing a unique marriage between Sealander’s design, engineering and robust build quality and the power and soul of SH21.
Calibre SH21 is up there with the very best watch movements, boasting a five-day power reserve thanks to its twin-barrel architecture. This means you can take it off for five whole days, and it’ll still be ticking. And because it’s a chronometer, it’s in the top six percent of all Swiss-made watches for accuracy.
The stamped wave pattern on the dial – inspired by the ever-changing moods and motions of the sea – contains two subdials that reveal the functionality of SH21. At 9 o'clock you’ll find the power-reserve dial, showing how many more days your watch will continue to run, while at 6 o’clock there’s a small seconds counter. There’s also a date window at 3pm, and blue Super-LumiNova® on hands and indexes. Meanwhile, the 41mm Light-catcher™ case has been designed to sit closer to your wrist, making a charismatic and imposing watch feel simultaneously elegant and secure.
The C63 SH21 Blue Marine is designed to feel equally at home on a mountaintop as a pavement café, a boardroom as the beach. And should you ever wish to leave the sand for the wonderland beneath the waves, water-resistance to 150m means you’ll be covered for all but the most challenging dives. 150’s actually an important number for this watch, as we’re only making that many too.
Calibre SH21 Automatic
Calibre SH21 Automatic
Designed by our former technical director, Johannes Jahnke, Calibre SH21 was the first commercially viable movement from a British watch brand in over 50 years. And thanks to its ingenuous twin-barrel construction, Calibre SH21 will deliver 120 hours – five whole days – of timekeeping when fully wound.
This particular version also boasts a power-reserve complication. The introduction of an automatic power reserve complication to Calibre SH21 was achieved with a 28-piece modification to the base movement, bringing the total number of jewels to 33.
In addition to providing impeccable timekeeping, its bridge has been redesigned to allow greater visibility of the twin barrels, and boast a 'colimaçoné' finish, engraved with our twin-flag pattern.
When fully wound, its twin barrels deliver five days' COSC-certified timekeeping. This places it among the most accurate of Swiss-made, power-reserve movements.
Making a real difference
Actions speak louder than words. That’s why we’re donating five percent of the watch’s retail price to Blue Marine Foundation as it works to preserve marine environments around the world.

Power and accuracy come from Christopher Ward’s impressive in-house Calibre SH21. As a chronometer it’s in the top six percent of Swiss movements for accuracy, while the twin-barrel architecture gives an impressive five-day power reserve.
Fit for purpose
A good fit is crucial to any watch, so CW’s 41mm Light-catcher™ case has been ergonomically designed to sit low and snug to the wrist, ‘wearing’ smaller than its size.
Family ties
The C63 SH21 Blue Marine is a new addition to the popular Sealander family, sharing its design language, durability and wearability – so it’s perfect for a morning in the office, and an afternoon on the water.
Above the waves
The beautifully finished dial has been imprinted with a wave pattern inspired by the sea. It boasts two sub dials: one a seconds counter, the other a display for Calibre SH21’s healthy power reserve. There’s a date window at 3 o’clock too.
