The new Twelve X (Ti)

Power, intricacy and durability

The first Twelve to be powered by Calibre SH21. And the only one with an ultra-finished skeletonised movement – visible from the front and back. Forged in Grade 2 and 5 titanium for lightness, strength and durability. And presenting our first adjustable ‘butterfly’ clasp for convenience and comfort.

Machine finishing

Machined to perfection

The exquisite finishing on the facets is only possible thanks to the Elara NS CNC milling machine, which uses a diamond cutter to achieve incredible precision. The Elara can machine soft metals like brass, but also tougher materials such as titanium and steel – as on The Twelve X (Ti).

In-house movement

Calibre SH21. Accuracy and longevity

At the heart of The Twelve X (Ti) is Calibre SH21, Christopher Ward’s in-house chronometer movement. Not only does SH21 deliver COSC-certified timekeeping, but its twin-barrel construction ensures a power reserve of five days.

We’ve removed more material than ever before, exposing parts of the movement that have always previously been hidden

Titanium

Lightness and strength

We use two types of titanium in The Twelve X (Ti)’s construction. Grade 5 titanium – an alloy of titanium, aluminium and vanadium – as found on the bezel and case back, allows for improved finishing and separation between satin-brush and mirror polishing. The harder Grade 2 titanium is employed elsewhere.

The multi-layered, multi-angled bridge-work supports the movement – and delights the eye

Top-tier luminosity

Light up the night

The Twelve X (Ti) delivers hi-res visibility in even the darkest of conditions. The dial’s minute track is filled with Super-LumiNova® Grade X1 BL C1, while Globolight© – a ceramic and Super-LumiNova® mix which can be sculpted in any shape – is used for the ‘wedge’ at 12 o’ clock.

Micro-adjust bracelet

Adjustment in seconds

In a new development for The Twelve series, the integrated bracelet’s butterfly clasp boasts an on-the-go adjustment mechanism that lets you change its length in seconds: by 1.5mm on each side or 3mm in total.
